About Me

hi my name is eliud baya mwakwekwe married to one wife margaret Mbeyu Baya and we live in Mtwapa a small town north of Mombasa a city in the Coast province of Kenya a country in East Africa.i have a family of seven children and have been a cooperative accountant all through. i have worked with the KUSCCO ( Kenya Union Of savings and Credit Cooperatives) as an auditor for seven years. my children have been educated in mtwapa and the last born is now in form two while the one before him is in kenyatta university doing a degree in Engineering-electrical and electronic engineering. since i retired i have been busy at the farm planting and selling fruits and vegetables in the locality. i also keep local chicken and do sell at the local market. since the festive season is here i do hope to advance or expand my business.

My Business

well i do plant vegetables:bringles, tomatoes, cowpeas, beans carrots kales and amaranthus.i first sow them in nursery beds then on sprouting i normally prepare small plots and plant them. i do apply fertilizers and pestcides for effective growth. then i have a small kiosk where i do retail selling of my vegetables. also i move out to the local village market where i sell. during hardship times i do get more stock from the famous kongowea market where i make sure my clients do not miss their products. on average i make 300 shillings a day after i remove all the daily expenses which makes me earn an average of 9000shillings at the end of the month. on good occasions especially such times as hollidays i make as much as 500 shillings a day.

Loan Proposal

given the loan i will make sure i buy fertilizers for the already planted plants that are in the field almost maturing so that i increase the yields. also i will boost the stock from the local kongowea market where i will make my clients be satified with a variety of fruits and vegetables taking into consideration the season is unfolding towards xmass it will be so busy and we expect more sales. its my hope and prayer to finish paying in time so as to move to even a bigger amount that will see me more stable in business and that will make me happy as am just retired and i do manage the business myself.
