About Me

I am Korang Patrick, a 25 year old Ghanaian. I am the first born of Mr. Korang Vasco and Mrs. Augustina Effah. I had my basic education at AKAB Complex at Berekum in Brong- Ahafo. I then proceeded to a senior High School in Kumasi called Prempeh College and then the Cape Coast University to offer Medical Laboratory Technology . At the University, I started selling recharge cards to students in order to generate some money to support the payment of school fees, buy books, make handout copies, buy laboratory coat and shoes. After graduation, I started my own medical laboratory in my community. The people in my community are humble, respectful, hardworking, generous, and the order of inheritance is matrilineal. I like reading during my leisure time.

My Business

The service I provide is to run samples in order to assist in the prognosis and diagnosis medical conditions. My services is useful in that without these tests wrong drugs would be prescribed which can be harmful to the patients. I chose to do this business to help the Doctors in my country to take good care of the patients. I want to see everyone in my community very strong and actively taking part in the nation building. For the services that I render, my cost involved is around $400 and my revenue as at now is around $950 each month. If I am given the loan, I will reinvest the profit in the business to increase services that I run and my revenue. I wish to run more laboratory tests in the laboratory to assist in the proper management of patients medical conditions.

Loan Proposal

When I am given this loan, I will use part to buy more equipment for my laboratory. I now want to do mobile Medical laboratory services. That is, I want to run a service where organizations can call us to do medical screening for them any time they have programs. When we get equipment and tools for this, it can help expand the laboratory service and also help eradicate many diseases and conditions in the villages and small towns. We need the tools so that when an organization like Zidisha wants to do free screening for villages, we can be contacted. The items that we would require include a glucometer, an HB meter, a thermometer, needles, lancets, glucose strip, tests kits, centrifuge, test tubes, capillary tubes, and so on. These items would cost about $ 400.
I would use the remaining part of the money to renovate the main laboratory. We currently run some simple haematology tests. We want to expand to other fields such as biochemistry, microbiology, and transfusion services. We would then need about $600 to buy the equipment.
For purchasing of the items, I will support with the money I have already earned.
I thank you for my first loan and hope you will find this second loan.
Thank you.

Thank you team of zidisha. Am very proud for being part of this caring organization. First I have been able to establish myself financially through the start-up income given to me by zidisha. The most interesting part is being able to help people's with their health needs. This group is the best

If you're struggling to pay your installments, please contact the Zidisha team and ask them to reschedule them to a lower amount over a longer period, then you can increase them again when you are earning more money. This will stop you getting a bad repayment history.
    God bless you,
    Wendy
