About Me

My name is Sellah Muiruri Wamboi I was born on 25th October, 1986 as the last born in the family of 12, Seven Boys and Five Girls. I am married and I have two Children, a boy and a girl.
Currently I stay within Kitale Airstrip 20 minutes drive from Kitale Town. My business is based within Kitale Town.
In the year 1994 to 2002, I joined Musemwa Primary School for my primary Education up to standard Eight. Where I sat for my KCPE and passed. From there i joined St. Peters Secondary School in 2003. I sat for my KCSE exams in the year 2006 and passed. Due to financial constraints, my parents were unable to take me to collage. So I was employed by a business man selling clothes in his shop. I worked for him for three and a half years, whereby I used to save small amount of money with which I have opened my small business. I am selling Mtumba clothes.

My Business

I am selling Mitumba Jackets for children and adults. These kind of clothes are on demand because most people wear jackets in morning and evening because sometimes whether is cold from morning and sometimes in the evening and during the rainy seasons. Sometimes I travel around 70 Kilometer to buy Mitumba clothes whereby I use around KES. 15,000 to KES.17,000 to buy clothes and sell them at a reasonable price which caters even for the low in the society. The profit I get in return is not badly off since at times the market responds extremely positively but sometimes it recedes to as low as no sales at all in a day. The profits I get I divide into up keeps, growing the business, partly support my child in school in terms of transport and lunch.

Loan Proposal

I am selling Mitumba clothes within Kitale Town, just outside by the roadside which has been a challenge whereby we are being relocated to another side. So I increase my stock and buy some timber and iron sheet so that I can start a small construction of a sheltered structure for my clothes. It will cost me KES 6,000. This will bring in more income for expansion of my business and better living. I expect to raise 20% profit since I have been raising 11%-12%. I would like to give my customers first priority.
