About Me

I am Married to one wife,father of one living in the surburbs of Nakuru Town.I have lived in Nakuru for a period of 7yrs.Nakuru is a peaceful town endowed with productive agricultural land and is a peaceful cosmopolitan region.
Have been self employed running a self employed businesses in farming and livestock keeping.
The livestock business has been enhanced due to a good agricultural land and has enabled to provide for the family as well as take care of school fees and other running costs.
The no.of dairy cows stands at 5 and the milk produced is sold to the local hotels. However, there are challenges sometimes especially when production is low due to unavailability of feeds during the dry spell.
The poutly business has been running well and the demand for the products has grown tremendously.
The produce from the poutly is usually sold to Major hotels in Nairobi and Nakuru.
However, technical know how for effective production is required to maintain production at profitable levels.
The production of chicken usually takes 5-6wks from day one and ultimost care must be ensured at this time to avoid death of the chicks at tender age. Sufficient food and continous supply of water must be ensured for fast growth of the chicken. The production of chicken is however capital intensive since one needs to continuously investment required to enhance more production.

Customers r happy with the products since they are of good quality and are usually delivered on the specified time as earlier planned without having to inconvenience them.

My Business

Was started 4yrs ago with 50 pcs that has grown to 500pcs today which costs ksh 160,000 to produce and with expected returns of approx ksh 50,000.
Risks involved include death from day 1 to day 10
To mitigate this risk, a lot of care is usually be taken to avoid death by ensuring sufficient warmth during this time.
Proper prevention of diseases is usually carried out, this requires technical know how,and this has been gained over the years.
The amount of money being sought is meant for increasing the no of chicken from 500 to 800 to enhance growth and supply more to my customers.

Loan Proposal

To increase production of chicken from the current 500 to 900 chicken.
This will lead to increased productivity and hence will be able to supply more to my customers.
