About Me

Bismark Mawuse Bissi is my name I am twenty three years old. I come from Juapong in the volta region in the republic of Ghana, but live in Takoradi.
Ernest Bissi and Rebecca Arkon is my parent, both live in Juapong, and both are subsistence farmers. My parent has fifteen children and I am the Fifteenth child.
Out of the fifteen children only three of us manage to further school beyound basic education level. In the days of my schooling at basic level, I do petty trading with my mother; Aunties to enable me buy my basic needs.
After the completion of my secondary school education and due to financial difficulties in Juapong after the collapse of the only Juapong textile company in the town. I travelled to Takoradi (the oil and harbor city of Ghana) to find job, so as I can continue my education.
Currently, I work with a security company as a night security guard. I am also a level two hundred student at I.P.M.C. Training collage doing computer system engineering during the day time.
Having difficulties in paying my school fees and looking for loan and can’t get it, a friend introduced me to Zidisha.
I am therefore putting my story here on the Zidisha platform for lenders to lend to me to support my education, while I used my monthly salary as a night security guard to repay the loan.
It's my hope that I will complete school work as fully time, employ the teaming unemployed youth in the country. My ambition is that one day, i will also marry and have kids where I will be much more responsible for giving them quality education, and also supporting my community in areas of education, sport, good health, etc
My hobbies include reading, researching, football and boxing.

My Business

I am therefore using the Zidisha loan to pay my level three hundred first semester fees. It's my plan that when complete school, I would go into repair and servicing of computers for companies and selling of computers and computer hardware (parts).
Takoradi is the third biggest commercial town in Ghana. It has a harbour with a lot of shipping companies and clearing companies/agents. Also, there is an oil exploration in the deep sea (waters), therefore there is lot of economic activities.
I believed it’s a right place for me to use my skills, creativity, innovation and marketing, so as to liberate myself and my family from the shackles of poverty, and then make a meaningful living.
It’s also my plan to expand to other nearby towns and cities. Computer literacy is still low in most of the basic and second cycle schools. It's my hope that if my loan is successful with zidisha and I am able to complete my course, I would make computer literacy in rural communities a priority.
Computer Information Technology (I.C.T.) can be useful tool in fighting world poverty and that is one reason where I am joining this rightful course.
Also, I would be into the buying and selling of security gadget like CCTV cameras to enhance security situations in the cities. This would help the citizenry have safety so as to go about their normal business during the day and in the night. Within the first to three years of my business, reinvestment into the business would be my main agenda and also providing financial assistance to my family and neighbors. After the completion of my programme, I would be going into self-enterprising and would be providing employment opportunity for at least four additional persons.
Thank you,

Loan Proposal

The loan facility if granted would be use to complete my semester school fees, and use part to purchase slightly used laptop to aid in my practical lessons.

Getting this support from Zidisha means i would complete my school for the semester and also have my own laptop for practicals.
Counting on the kind gesture of zidisha to improve the lives of my community residence .
Thank you in advance.
