About Me

My name is Stephen kahunyo macharia I was born in 1963 at kericho in bomet county as a young child Iwent to kipsigis primary school and later joined st Patrick iten in uasi ngishu county for my secondary education. After school I joined mosoriot teachers college and graduated with a diploma in education. I have worked as teacher for the government of Kenya until when I decided to resign and start self employment.

My Business

My business is basic specialize in farming. I grow mobidick flowers in my piece of land at Gilgil which I bought with my little savings when I was a teacher. The mobidick flower is mainly for export to European country of Holland. Though I don’t export the flowers directly, I sell it to the large scale flower farms who always give me the orders. I started this kind of commercial farming after I realized there was great demand for mobidicks flower for the export market. I usually sell the flower as per stem which makes it quite profitable. The proceeds that I get help me to educate my children and also to meet their upkeep I have also be able to build the house that I live in. the only challenge that I face is luck of enough funds to maintain the farming so as to produce high quality frowers for better returns. With zidisha platform, I will fulfill this dream.

Thanks to all lenders, I will spend US$300 to purchase 25 plastic pipes for use in irrigation in my farm where I grow mobidick flowers. This will ease these process where I am always compelled to hire laborers to change pipes from one side of the farm to the other because the ones I have are not enough, I urge you to support me In this endevour.
