My name is Anne Wangare I was born in 1968 at Nakuru municipality which is today known as Nakuru county being the third born in a family of five. My father was working with Kenya railways while my mother was working with the Municipal council of Nakuru, I joined Flamingo primary school at the age 5 years to start my primary education, I went from class 1 to 7 where I sat for my certificate in 1981. I past my examination well and joined Laikipia girls high school in 1982. After school I joined Njoro School of tailoring for a course in dress making for two years since then this has been my profession all through. I am married with three children one boy and two girls.
My business is located in free area shopping center where I own a tailoring and dressmaking shop. I started the business first by sharing a shop with another business where I had rented a space inside. After some few years I was able to rent my own shop where I carry out this business up to date. Free area is one of this busiest suburbs’ of Nakuru town with a lot of inhabitants , as result , my business does well , it is from the proceeds I was able to purchase a piece of land and built my own residential house where I live with my immediate family. In my shop, I currently have two sewing machines and I have been able to employ two workers. I am specialized with the production of ladies clothe ware and school uniforms. On an average day, I am able to make $20 to $50 of which my profit margin is 30%.There are a number of challenges that I face in business but the most pressing one is luck of a modern sewing machine to help me speed up the production for better profits. For this loan I am intending to buy the same at cost of $500. With zidisha platform I am confident I will archive this dream through the help of you my lenders. Be blessed.
Thanks to the entire zidisha team for according me this chance to improve my business, for this first loan i am intending to purchase a new modern sewing machine to help me speed up my clothing production which sometimes stall due to slowness of the aged machines that i am currently using. i need US$500 to acquire this machine. it will be of great essence to sustain my business. be blessed as you contribute towards filling my Bids.
