About Me

Was born in Western Province of Kenya in Bungoma County in December 12, 1989.
at the age of five years, I went to Sinoko Primary School (within Bungoma County) and did my Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) in 2005
later i joined Moi Girls High School (within Bungoma County) in 2006 and sat for my Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education in 2009 where I attained a mean grade of B- (minus)
I was able to join Masinde Muliro University in 2011 as a self sponsored student to pursue a bachelor's degree in education. I have not yet completed my university studies due to insufficient funds. This forced me to look for a job in 2014 so that I can raise the school fees.
I was lucky to get a Job in a local micro finance institution called Arise & Shine Sacco where I'm working as a Teller. I have worked now for two years.
The challenge I have is that I cant continue with my university education because the working conditions demand that I work full time. Because of this I started thinking on how I can earn money while studying. This can only be possible if I own my own business.
That is why I joined Zidisha to start investing in Boutique Business.

My Business

Currently, I don't have any business yet but I am about to establish a Boutique. I started thinking on how to establish my own business in 2016. This thoughts came up as a result of the tight working conditions that am subjected to in my current job, which do not allow me to continue with my studies. I am required to work full time (6 days in a week) from 8 am to 6 pm and am also expected to attend lectures. This is difficult. Yes I need the job to raise money for my school fees as well as to study as a part-time student but I don't have freedom to attend lectures. That is why I need to establish my own business which will guarantee for my school fees and personal upkeep as well as give me time to attend lectures. This is why I want to establish a Boutique.
For this to be achieved, I require a Minimum of KES 1,000,000 ($10,000). This amount will enable me purchase the necessary stock and equip my Boutique to the brim.
The purchases include Men's Clothes & Shoes, Ladies' clothes & Shoes, Children clothes & Shoes.
Equipments include branding the shop, partioning, shelving and advertisements.
If all goes well am planning to start the business in December 2017.
I believe with Zidisha I will make it.

Loan Proposal

I will use the money to buy 50 dozens of hungers to equip my boutique with enough hungers. Each dozen costs KES 200 ($2) therefore from this loan i will be able to acquire the number of hungers sufficient to run a boutique.
