My name is Simon Sang, I was born in Rift valley Nakuru County. I started my primary education at Mogoon primary. Thereafter I joined Nakuru West secondary school form my secondary education. After I completed my form four course in 2012 our father could not afford to pay for my school fees leaving me to cut short my education and with nobody to pay school fees for me to further my education. After that I decided to go to town and find a job so that I can help my dear sisters and brothers to continue with their education. In Nakuru town I met with a cyber owner who promised to teach me how to use computer and later employ me as a client attendant. After two weeks I had known how to use the computer then he employed me at a basic salary of Ksh. 5,000 per month. I saved the money until it was enough to start my own cyber and operate it. I am now helping my entire family and am looking forward for a lender like you to help me purchase more computers and photocopy papers.
My business is located at Shabab stage about 2 km from Nakuru town I offer photocopy services. There are schools without photocopy machine so they forced to come and photocopy there documents in my cyber. Other people come from far places like Nakuru West and Ponda mali for photocopy services. I had created a loyalty with my client from my previous employer hence i now serve the better at my place. Most of my cost are restocking of stationary and utility bills,I am the sole worker as the business is at start up. most of the money paid for service and stationary sold are the sole income to my business.I am able to educate my sisters and brothers back at home which was difficult from my previous job. I save some money for expansion as i started the business with only one Kyocera Photocopier machine now i have added two out of my savings
My photocopy business is doing very well thanks to zidisha org for the help they have accorded my business .My business has helped me to educate myself, but I still want the help of the organization to improve my business and life .
I want to expand my business premise to accommodate more computers and more customers .
I currently have 5 computers in my businesses premise in Nakuru but I want to have 6 computers so as to increase my customers in terms of numbers and revenue for my business .
I would love zidisha to help me purchase 1 second hand computer at $100 that am planning to set up for games for kids who will be closing schools in two weeks time for August holidays
Am planing to set at least two computers for the children under the age of 15years to play games at my cyber and charge them $0.2 for each game played that always last for 10minutes. But am targeting at least 30 kids daily. I will also use $110 to purchase stationery for selling and also add up my stock of photocopy papaers for printing and photocopying.
If funded I will have increased my customer intake and that will also increase my revenue.
