My name is Sekeena Yamoah . I come from Sunyani, the regional capital of Brong Ahafo region of Ghana. My parents are late now Iiving behind three siblings of which I happened to be the eldest with much more greater responsibilities.
I started selling at a tender age of seven. Though I didn’t want it that way, my late parents wanted me to learn how I will fend for my self. In future. So when my education and dream to be a teacher didn’t push through, I was giving $400 to sell cloths. I begun this business in a small store room in the centre of our town. Business wasn’t easy at the initial stages since I hard a lot of competitors that time. But I was able to go through this situation through my “never give up” spirit I have. Now, many people visits my shop everyday. Now, this business of yesterday has become the back bone of my family. Through this business, I take care of my sibling education and their basic needs. Personally, I am able to put food on the table and buy my personal needs. I also donates money to the poor and needy in my church. I do all these things with the weekly profit I get from my business.
Most of the cloths I sell in my shop are foreign based. Of late, the demand for a traditional clothing are very high. That is why I want to turn my attention on the sales of traditional kente clothings
