About Me

David is a graduate in finance currently pursing my MBA from Kenyatta University in Kenya. I grew up in a middle income family that believes in education, I was however one playful character and my attention was divided between education and games and being a boy. I joint high school in 2003 and later got a place to study B.com at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa. I graduated with a second class up in finance and high hopes of securing a well paying job. However this was not the case and i had to engage in a variety of businesses such as selling second hand cloths for up keep. My parents sponsored my Masters education and it is here where i met a friend working in the advertising industry and got interested. She introduced me to a few players in the industry and it is no surprise that i worked for one firm before deciding to venture into the business.

My Business

I have been in the advertising business specifically out of home advertising for the three plus year. I do street light, four sided advertising media such as the one on my profile picture above and fabrication of light boxes. In a bid to meet the demand in out of home advertising in counties that has been orchestrated by devolution, i would like to fabricate 30, 1M X 2M light boxes for my clients in Makueni county at a cost of KES 5000 per box and an additional installation cost of KES 2000 per piece. The Total cost will be KES 210,000.
The rental cost per Light box is $ 150 per month translating to an inflow of KES 450,000 per monthLess county council fees and other maintenance expenses, am projecting a monthly profit of KES 90,000 per month from which KES 30,000 can be used to settle the loan in 7 equal monthly installments.

Loan Proposal

This loan will top up on my transportation expenses for a green grocer that i am currently running. An up to date knowledge of the prices of various products in this field is important given the volatile nature of prices in this field. This will enable me to canvass different markets and get an accurate position of the prices.
