About Me

I am 43 years old business graduate, married, and a father of two children. Before I ventured into business 10 years ago, I was employed as a management accountant where I worked for 13 years.

I decided to venture into business full time to pursue my long-time hobby in order to improve my standard of living and also create employment opportunities for young people.

My Business

I have been operating the timber business, for the last ten years. Initially, I took it as a hobby which I was only engaging on weekends only.

Five years ago, I decided to resign from my employment and concentrate on the business full time. I have since expanded and acquired milling machines in order to reduce costs and also be able to offer market competitive prices.

I have engaged 10 people on a full-time basis and 7 on a casual basis.

Loan Proposal

Dear Leanders,

The loan I am applying for will be wholly utilized in meeting the cost of the motor vehicle hire. I plan to hire a ten-tonne truck to transport my milled timber to one of my customers a Mr. Wachira who is a construction engineer. He has placed an order of blue gum timber frames size 2x2 and 3x2 all totaling to KES 150,000.00. He has already paid a deposit of 50,000.00 and we agreed that the balance will be settled once the delivery is made.

I finished milling the timber yesterday 07/02/2021 and I am planning to deliver on 09/02/2021. The loan I am applying for will be utilized in meeting the transportation costs.

Income Source

I have already signed an agreement that once I deliver the goods, the payment will be promptly paid. In addition, I have taken goods on transit insurance cover to mitigate against losses that may be occasioned by accident, theft, and fire.
