About Me

I grew up in Nairobi, Kenya in a large family of ten children togethwr with a lot of my extended family, which is very typical in kenya. I went through primary education at St. Georges. I got my secondary education at loreto convent msongari girls high school. I have a bachelors degree from the Australian national university in Canberra graduating in 2001. I also graduated from the Marca school of Cosmetology in Toronto, Canada.

My Business

I work as a freelance hair and make up artist in Nairobi, Kenya for weddings, music videos, advertising and modeling agencies. This type of work allows me to travel and to a certain extent allows me to choose my working hours and the people whom I work with. I am also a caretaker. I collect rent and supervise property maintenance my sculpture background makes me conversant with building/ construction jargon. This job provides me with a steady income and rent free accomodation for me and my daughter. My average monthly income range is $200 - $300. This i use mainly for my child and buying supplies for work (cosmetology). I have just recently ventured into farming, using my savings) to enable me to regenerate my income.
During the past few months with your help I have located a self help group the one acre fund which provides training and equipment for local small holding farmers. They start out their disbursement early January 2018. In the !meantime I would like to build a storage shed. I have most of the !material ready. I am now looking for a lender to finance the labour
