My name is Salome Sila. I was born in Nairobi county in the year 1992 but raised in Machakos. When I was young, my mum was given a transfer letter to Machakos Post Office, which made me attend two different schools in Machakos. (One was called Township, and the other one was St. Peters Junior, which was in Makueni.) In our home, we are a nuclear family, which happens to consist of Dad, Mum, 2 sisters and I, but luckily I am the second born, which makes me enjoy the gratitude of being close to the last born.
I have done my O-Levels, also known as KCSE, from Machakos Girls High School, which made me qualify to join the university to do a diploma in Criminology. I joined the university in 2014 to do the diploma. I like doing many challenging things, though my main hobbies are improving myself mentally through solving quizzes and puzzles while watching movies. In this career path that I have chosen, it's challenging handling criminals and analyzing them.
Thank you for creating this platform. My main aim of joining was to acquire financing, not only for my schooling fees but also to assist my younger sibling in her education. Currently, as stipulated above, I am pursuing a course in Criminology and I managed to acquire a [job] at City Hall Annex as an investigator. This job is quite interesting, [and] with at most hard work, I am sure I will be securing this job at the end of my internship. I am currently earning a monthly salary of USD $220 with weekly allowances of USD $25.
The monthly salary is broken down as below:
1) Monthly salary: USD $200
2) Monthly rent: USD $90
3) Household shopping: USD $50
4) Transport to work+lunch: USD $40
The balance of USD $20 I sometimes send to my parents in Machakos and so I put some in my bank as a saving amount.
I want to thank the zidisha fraternity for giving me the first loan and have also given me another chance to access another.
The first loan I paid partly the school fees now this loan I want to clear my fees and exam practices
USD 180 clearing fees
USD 21 interim exam fees
