About Me

My name is Daniel Otieno,I was born in Busia county. In our family we are 10 kids, two boys and 8 girls. My father was a teacher while my mother was a farmer. My father passed on while I was still young boy and left my mom to raise as single handed.
Though life was tough our mom raised as through farming, after completing my secondary education I went back home and started helping my mom.
I realized she was not utilizing the modern available farming technologies and therefore i decided to do modern farming and it paid off.
currently I have one wife and two kids they all want to be doctors in future.I hope and wish the make it in life.

My Business

I am a commercial farmer and i keep both livestock and grow horticulture in my 2 acre farm.I started with high value horticultral crops and have now advanced into dairy farming.
The demand for vegetables and dairy products (milk) is always high throughout the year.I make sure i increase my productivity during the dry season when vegetables and milk are scarce so as to maximize profits.
I choose this business because my mom was a farmer and so as i helped her out in the farm,i developed passion for farming, secondly farming was less capital intensive.
In a month I spend $150 for labor, and transport to the market .My profits are always between $250-350 in a month.
I use my profits to pay fees for my kids ,nephew and siblings.I believe education is power and so I do all i can to empower them.

Loan Proposal

Dear lenders ,my younger half-sister passed well in the just announced primary school (KCPE) results.I am expecting her to join a county school. However I am worried about her school fees since schools insist of full payments before admission. since her parents passed on last December last, I have to do something about her education ,My farm can not raise the fees at once and that is why I am appealing to you to support me so that I pay her fees. I will need Ksh300 with Ksh 23000 loan ,I am certain I will fill the gap. Thank for reading my proposal.

Daniel says he has been having problems with his mpesa line, but says he will make payments these Sunday. He says he is really sorry he didn't reschedule his loan due to lack of computer and network,I asked if I could do that on his behalf but he says he will make all payments on Sunday and feels it is not necessary. Thank you lenders for your patience.

Hi Daniel, Your sister sounds like an intelligent young lady, and I am happy to hear that she will be continuing her education. It is good of you to see that she does. I have an older brother who has always been very kind to me and helped me in many ways, so when I read your story, I wanted very much for your plans to be a success. Best wishes to you both!
