I was born and bred inEjura in the the ashanti region of Ghana. I had my basic and Junior High school education in Ejura R/C primary and Junior High school respectively and went out of the region to the Upper West region where I attended Nandom Senior High school for four years and learnt that that small distance meant a whole lot of cultural differences. I graduated in 2014 and got admitted into University of Ghana that same year to offer Bsc Computer Engineering where I still am. In Ejura we love our tz which is like the main meal. Living conditions are quite low but paying fees becomes difficult as you go up the educational ladder when you come from a large family with limited sources of income because most people are small scale farmer and petty traders. Schooling in Accra is a big challenge because the cost of living is high and everything is expensive. Through the use of strict budgets, rationing and a lot of sacrifices I have been able to make it this far but thing are becoming increasingly difficult . Though I am from the Ashanti region,I own just one kente cloth, the reason being they are now very expensive.
I am still and have been investing my all, my time and energy into my education which I think is the best way to help me grow as a person and one day aid me in making me financially stable.
i envision education as a high pole that makes you have a clearer view of the world and finally jump to that dream land of your life. with this idea, i am more determine to at least have my degree before any other business to strengthen the foundations to my future.
It will do me a great relief to see myself settled for academic activities this semester with no arrears as we enter the last half of the academic year.
this loan will be use to buy some learning material such as books ,and also to finance a research I am about to undertake in my area this vacation.
this loan will help me to gain an in-depth knowledge on the falling standard of education in my part of Ghana especially among girls.
I will visit the villages and consult elders as well as engaged the youth.
this research I intend to create the awareness of the government
as one of the few who are privilege to higher education in my area, i want to do my part as a student to help as many as willing to pursue education in my place.
i am applying for this loan mainly to finance this research i will embark this vacation.
i need your support in this initiative.
