About Me

I am the first born in a family of 5(2boys and 3girls). I grew up in Nairobi county where I attended my primary-Cannon Appollo and secondary school education- Ofafa Jericho High School. My childhood and education life was very tough and full of challenges.
The issue of school fess almost crippled my dreams of continuing with my education since we depended on our mother who work hard to see us through to school .She had to run small business which entailed selling mandazi and tea at her work place. The little money she got would be used in pay for my fees. During school holidays I would chip in and assist her running the business while she went to work. It is at this point where I developed a keen interest in starting my own business,in which I would make money to to buy stationary.
After finishing school, I started selling second hand shoes for1 year in order to save up for my college fees.
What's unique about my city {Nairobi} is that, it is home to the best parks in the world such as Nairobi national park.
I would love my children to practice agribusiness besides their dream jobs.
During my free time i love swimming, reading, photography, making friends, and volunteering in children's home.

My Business

Am currently planning to venture in freelance writing which involves article writing. It's one area that gives me the opportunity to work at home with minimum supervision and the ability to earn some extra cash.Since i love writing and reading, i think i will be able to create more opportunities for my future income. i will use part of my earning to support the less fortunate in the society.

Loan Proposal

Am planning to take Mandarin classes as from September 2017. The course will take 3 months(beginners level), which will require me to pay$ 50 per month, this includes registration fee, exam fees and books. I believe learning Mandarin will open doors of opportunities for me especially in my field especially where the language is commonly used for communication purposes.

    Hi lenders!
I wish to take this opportunity to thank you for your support in funding my loan which i received on 3/11/2015. With the on going El nino rains in Kenya , I had plans for cabbage farming. The loan of 9654 KES will enable me to purchase the following .
    1. seeds @ 30$
    2.fertilizers @30$
and the remaining 30 $ for farm labour. This entire project will take 50$ for3 months and I expect my harvest by end of March 2016 making 3000$. During this period , there is always food shortage due to drought thus vegetables are hard to come by and i believe this opportunity will help me achieve my dreams in farming.
Once again thank you(Asante) lenders and the entire Zidisha team for this noble idea. May God bless you all.

    Dear lenders,
Am so happy to be associated with Zidisha , this being my second loan, am planning to purchase the following for my cabbage farming.
    (a)fertilizer @ 30 $
    (b)seeds @ 30$
    (c)ploughing @30 $
since its raining here due to El nino, I have decided not to purchase a water pump but invest the money in farm labor. I will require 10 people to plough- land preparation at a cost of 30$. I will also purshase a knapsack sprayer @ 20 $
. The entire work will take 3 months.
Once again thank you for your support and may God bless you

Hi Wendy and Zidisha team, this it to inform you that I got my first loan of {50$}, -4828 KES . Upon a total deduction of 4000 KES I remained with 800KES which wasn't enough for me to purchase knapsack spraying machine {20$} and a water pump, instead I used the amount to purchase pesticides for my maize farm.
Am looking forward to finish up paying my loan on time and get another one by October so that I can purchase the above mentioned equipment which will assist me in my second farming right after harvesting maize.
Am planning to plant kales, spinach and indigenous vegetables such as cow peas. this will take a period of 3 months.
Thank you, and may God bless you Wendy and zidisha team.
