About Me

Am a native of the Volta region of Ghana, but I grew up in the Bono region. I had my basic school education at the Forces Junior High school. I went on to Ghana National College for my senior high education. I then went on to Mt. Mary college of Education where I acquired my teachers training Diploma. I went on to The University of Education, Winneba to pursue a degree in English language education later on after I had my two babies.

My two boys are grown, I Am happy and so proud of them. I call them my kings.
I notice they both love arts and music. And they are real fast learners.

In my school where I am a teacher, I noticed most of the children drop out of school and become a burden later to society. I love fashion and it's so easy to start it as a business. I just needed a sewing machine. So I have bought one to Start a fashion center, where I would train up other young people to be able to keep themselves from the street or just being dropouts.

Where I live in sunyani, and even in Ghana as a whole, people are very hospitable and love to wear and flaunt the African print clothing a lot.

My Business

Currently, I am teaching in a public primary school . There's a mentality in Ghana that one cannot be a scholar academically and also run a vocation at the same time. Especially if you are a woman, and more so one with kids. I believe I can change that idea. With my two kids, I have been able to earn a degree, and started my small scale business which I seek to expand.

I bought my first sewing machine which I use during our long vacations. I hope to be able to expand this by buying acquiring a place where I can call a fashion centre.
With this fashion center, I will be able to help the youth to acquire some handi work and not to remain societal misfits or school dropouts. Rather they will be able to become societal grandeurs by learning the trade sewing from me freely or at a little fee. This is how I intend to also raise profit for the business.

Then again, I can't do all the above successfully without the funds. The salary of a teacher my level alone is not enough to assist my business growth. That is why I need a loan of about seven hundred Ghana Cedis to assist in making this vision a reality.

This loan of about seven hundred Ghana CEDI's, will aid me to buy more fabrics to create more clothing for the ready market. This will in turn earn me more profit to embark on acquiring a permanent business centre. I will be able to have peace of mind to work and meet my set targets, cater for my sons ,then finally start my fashion center for the community.

Thank you zidisha for granting me this opportunity.

Loan Proposal

I will use this loan, together with my savings, to pay for my second semester tuition in the university where am studying now. The fee amount is about two hundred and fifty dollars($250).
The tuition fee covers face to face lectures with lecturers, some reading manuals, access to library and computer laboratory.
It does not however include accommodation and feeding.
Being able to pay off this tuition fees, will help me secure my education to acquire my degree, proving that a woman can equally .make it to the highest ladder in academics and also proceed to excel in my future fashion business as well.
