My name is Etambuyu Siyubo second born in a family of three, i lost my parents at a young age and was raised by my uncle and his wife who did not contribute to my education in any form or way i had to sale candy to class mates to pay through my school. i graduated from secondary school and got accepted at Zamtel Training College where i studied Business Administration diploma 1through to 3 with the help of my elder sister. i later on landed a job with Airtel as an agent the contract was only for 6 months. i then got a job as a data clerk with Active Measure Limited in Chingola the contract was only a year long for a certain project in Chambishi mine. After about a year of being home i applied for a degree in Banking and finance with Zambia open university and i was accepted and i am currently in my first year second semester i cleared my first semester with a merit and to support myself and help with school expenses i started ordering hair extensions lipstick men's / women's watches for re-sale and so far so good although i would love to be able to order on a larger scale than i am currently. what is unique about my town is that quality hair/clothes are hard to come by people usually have to travel to Lusaka just to get certain types of hair or clothes and so i see it as a potential gold mine. I have a 2 year old daughter and when she grows up i want her to be able to study whatever she wants without any financial burden that is why i plan to excel in my education and get my Masters degree when i am done with my bachelors degree. my favorite past time is reading i love reading novels especially novels by Dan Brown, James Hadley chase to mention a few.
I mainly sale Hair extensions(Brazilian weave) Men and women's wrist watches ladies lipstick on order basis and so far the business is doing great i make double the profit and its so much easier now with social media i am able to reach people outside my town, But i would love to be able to stock more items so that they are readily available to people who are ready to buy that is the main challenge availability i have so many people willing to buy but not enough stock. i will be able to repay the loan through the profits i make i receive payments on a weekly basis as my payment terms are flexible and people usually pay in two installments. i chose this business because it is what i am passionate about and would one day love to be able to deal in baby clothes and be able to open my own shop. the profits i make all go to help in paying my tuition as my husband can not manage alone especially with all the home bills and the baby
I have recently been accepted into university at Zambian Open University for a 4 year degree programme on long distance basis to study Bachelor of Banking and Financial services. School will open on the 20th of January 2018. Iam required to pay a minimum of 75% of the tuition and lodging fee which is coming to a total of K785ZMW which is equivalent to about $750 USD by the 15th or 20th of january before I can be allowed to attend the school residential. I have only managed to raise half of the amount K3500 ($350 equivalent) and still need another k3500 ($350) to enable to pay off the 75% and also cater for transport books and food expenses that will be incurred during the residential school period. Obtaining this degree will boost my chances in getting a better job in future so in turn I may also help out my community. Your help in raising the loan will be highly appreciated.
