About Me

I have been raised by a single mother since 1995, when I was in standard 5 after my father passed on. It was hard to access education because my mum was not working and had no family business. Through the help of bursaries and also help from uncles, I made it through high school and eventually got a government sponsorship to join university. I successfully finished university in 2008 and was employed by the government as a teacher in 2010.

I want to start a business of selling tuktuk [rickshaw] spares because I currently own a used tuktuk that is working in Likoni. This kind of business is on the rise here, as it's commonly used by commuters who cross the ferry daily to work in town.

My Business

My tuktuk business earns 1,000 KSH ($10 USD) per day, which translates to about 30,000 KSH ($300 USD) minus some expenses like monthly county stickers and service amounting to 5,000 KSH ($50 USD).

As an employee of the teachers service commission, I earn a net of 13,995 KSH ($139). It is also my hope that I will be able to put up a business of selling spare parts in one of the garages in Likoni.

Loan Proposal

I will use the money to purchase the following items:

QUANTITY ITEM DESCRIPTION PRICE TOTAL
20 pcs Clutch cable 200 4000
20 pcs Gear cable 200 4000
10 pcs Pressure plates 300 3000
20 pcs Clutch plate 200 4000
TOTAL 15000 KSH ($149 USD)

I want to take this opportunity to let you know how much I appreciated everything that you did to assist us in obtaining a loan. Your professionalism and efficient manner made everything so much easier and quicker. I had contacted other Companies and was offered the world, but you were the ones that followed through from beginning to end, took the time to explain what I should do to get funding.
You have indeed kept your word and i appreciate you for taking time to look at my loan proposal . The funding i have recieved from you will go along way in expanding my business.
I promise not to disappoint any of my lenders
I wish you well in all your undertakings

    Sincerely,
