My name is victor an IT graduate, after school i started a cyber cafe business to keep me busy as I searched for a job. Through luck i was introduced to zidisha by a friend. Am grateful to be part of Zidisha family as large because it has seen my business grow to a level I didn't expect. During my free time I love reading a lot and watching football
I'm the owner of Avicom cyber cafe business in Nakuru. The goods and services that i offer include internet services, photocopy, printing, lamination, scanning, lamination, computer repair and maintenance. There is always the demand for internet, printing and computer services. This is due to the technological advancement throughout the world. Customers prefer my products and services due to the fact that i offer the fastest internet access services at a cheap price as compared to my competitors. The business is profitable because it is diverse and offers different products and services which in turn boosts sales revenues. The risks my business face is inflation, insecurity and the increasing demand of smart phones which supplement a certain percentage of the customer internet usage. On average, the business operations and recurrent costs are at $ 500 with a monthly sales revenue of between $300-$450. Profit margins are at $250-$350.
The loan will be invested into the business in order to improve on service delivery and value creation.I will purchase two more laptop for my computer shop and add stock of printing paper in it too. laptop machine will costs approximately $ 500 for the two laptops
I will also use $200 to buy plain photocopy and printing paper. However, the current demand of students needs at least an additional $100 of plain paper, approximately 5 rims of 500 A4 sheets in each rim. That’s 2500 A4 plain papers.
This should meet the demand.
I will buy two hardy stapler and a binding machine that costs 100$ and add stationery such as pens, blank CDs and plastic bag folders which are common with the university students which will add up to $155. These additions should make me a good profit.
When I type and print on plain paper I usually charge $ 0.5 per paper I print. So for 2500 plain A4 papers I should be able to make a profit of around $55 per week.
I will bind proposals at $10 per 100 to 200 page proposal.
This should enable me pay the loan and safely reinvest my proceeds in the business, eventually being able to expand my business with the increased proceeds.
