I was born to the late Peter Maloba and Rose maloba, I went to school upto O-level,I didn't do very well as I expected due to spending most of the school time away from school due to lack of school fees. I was determined to follow my heart and passion in dress making industry and therefore joined kisumu Polytechnic for dressing making course that I successful completed.
I faced great challenge when I was starting my business and that was lack of start up capital,I worked for three years while saving and buying equipment. I was finally able to rent a house and opened 'Maloba Designers" as any young enterpreneur the business has had its teething problems but I have been able to sail through. I am now determined to expand the business so as to start training of youths .
I am a born again christian blessed with good voice and so I love singing so much, I also love reading novels, making new friends, and traveling.
My young business involves dress designing and making , I work with my clients and always do according to there wishes so that the end product matches there taste and preferences. Apart from dress making I also do doors and windows curtains that meets the clients needs.
The demand for my services have grown steadily due to on time delivery and following clients instructions. In case a client is not satisfied ,I offer to redo the job so that they leave my workshop happy.
I choose these business because it required less capital both in training and start up .
my monthly costs are $130 and my monthly revenues are $300.
I use my money to support mother and my siblings as well as to buy goods and pay for my business needs.
I am very happy for the first loan and thankful to my lenders,I am kindly asking for a second loan to help me buy a two sewing machines ,I would use the machines for training purposes for young women interested in tailoring at a small fee affordable fee. I expect my income to increase by $150 per month. The machines would cost me $180 each. Thank you
