About Me

my name is John Kamau. I was born and raised in Kenya where my family lived below the dollar. the struggles I faced motivated me rather than breaking me. I looked for a way of overcoming the struggles and I came to find tomato farming. tomato farming is an entrepreneurial venture that is yet to grow bigger and has the capacity to grow very much. If I push through my farming I will be in a position to provide a better future for my kids.
one of my kids is very passionate about being a doctor. He challenges me and keeps asking questions related to medicine. sometimes I am forced to browse for answers.

My Business

my business is tomato farming. currently, I am farming a half an acre piece of land. however, i am looking to scale it as the demand is gradually growing. in fact, I plan to double my production. at the moment, my monthly costs are around 190 usd, and the revenue is 310 usd. I re invest 40% of my earnings, and use the rest to cater for my kids education and home improvements.

Loan Proposal

i plan to acquire a water pump for my farm. the pump casts 363 dollars. I have already raised 200 dollars. this pump will help reduce my total expenditure, especially on labor. I also will scale in my production and in around three months, double my production. my profits will increase to around 3500, from the current 2400 within the first week. later they will more than double.
