About Me

I am a business minded woman aged 37 with four children. I was born in a family of eight i.e. five ladies and three men. Grown in a family life that was difficult find ends meet, it was very difficult for me to finish school of which stopped school in the seventh grade due to lack of support. And as a result got married at the age of 20, not knowing where to get the next meal I was forced to get married at a very tender age. And tried to do business selling relish and food stuffs but due to hands to mouth type of life I ended up failing. Upon hearing about your organisation from my friend, I didn't hesitate but thought of applying for a loan immediately, so as to start all over again with the hope to do better than previously. Zidisha and all lenders you are my only hope.

You will be interested to know and you will also be touched to hear that my husband abandoned (divorced) me when I was pregnant of his forth child refusing pregnancy as not his. He left me last year in 2015 and said bye to me on the phone and declared marriage ended and left me with my forth child when he was just 4 days old and he is now 10 months old.

In Zambia people are very friendly and hard working, and some are business minded but what draw them back is capital.

My first born daughter aged 16 and doing grade 9 says that when she finish school, she wants to become an Accountant. And my second born son aged 11 (started school a bit late though) and he is doing grade 3, he says when he finish school he wants to become a soldier.

My Business

My plan is that when I am funded by Zidisha I want to start selling vegetables and other food stuffs. These products are on demand during this period and season because they are not grown as much as expected. Relish such as vegetables in our community is a very good business, one can not go wrong with this type of business.

Vegetables such as cabbage sells at $0.50 per head, beans sells at $1.20 per 1/2 kg, Potatoes sells at $1.50 per kg, small dry fish sells at $1 per packet and mealie meal sells at $1.10 per kg.

The profit from this business will greatly help me to send my children to school and raise enough money to buy a plot.

Loan Proposal

My budget is as follows:

1. One large bag of Cabbage at $35
2. A bag Potatoes at $15
3. A bag of small dry fish at $45
4. One bag of Mealie meal at $12
5. Construction of a stand at $15
6. Transport $30

When this business is done as expected my profit will raise by 50%.
