About Me

Hi, I'm Philip Onyango Ussenge. I was born in Kenya in the year 1980. I was raised in the western part of Kenya, a region called Nyanza. My parents were high school teachers, so naturally, I was raised with the utmost discipline.
In 1998, my father passed on, just as I was concluding my high school education. Soon after that, my mom also lost her job. Suddenly life became unbearable. I resorted to doing odd jobs to make ends meet. Eventually, I went to college and studied Computer Electronics Engineering. I also undertook a course on Leadership.
For three years I worked for a computer training college in Tanzania as the Administrator. Later on, I worked for a non-governmental organization for nine years, again as the Administrator. However, I decided to vacate paid employment and venture into business. I found out that paid employment limits one's financial freedom since you only live from pay cheque to pay cheque.
It's far better to invest and make the investment work for you as you build it.

My Business

I run a car hire business. Anyone who hires a car must be an adult with a valid driver's license. I have customers that hire for as long as six months; others hire for as short as 2 days. Irrespective of the duration, the most important thing is the satisfaction of the customer.
I chose this business simply because I have always loved cars since childhood. On a good month, I can make up to Ksh. 70,000 after business expenses.
Eighty percent of all the profits are reinvested into the business.

Project Proposal

I will use the funds raised to add onto the amount I already have to buy a new set of tires for my business.
