Father of four children, three boys and one girl, I am named Hamidou Sawadogo born in 1968 in Koundougou, a village about 100 km from Bobo Dioulasso situated on the Burkina Faso-Mali road. I am married for more then twenty years and I live with my wife and my children. I am a practicing Christian along with the rest of my family. My wife and I, we adopted monogamy, because we want to stay together and I don't want any other woman but her. Most of my children go to school, except the last who is still too small. My wife and I operate in trade to make our daily living.
The sale of cereals is a business of many people in Bobo and more specifically the farmers of the region. I operate as only a trader. I buy a bag of corn at 11000 and resale at 12500 franc. I also resale in small quantities in boxes and boxes of corn sell for 225. With this business I buy food like rice so that my wife can prepare rice, millet or beans for sauces and so forth for the family. It's with the profits from the trade that I pay the school fees for my three children, along with their other school needs like books.
I desire to use this loan to buy five or six bags of corn to resell either wholesale or in small boxes.
