About Me

Am a married man with one wife and a child. I reside in western part of Kenya. Education-undergraduate. I started the business to help me earn a living and support my family. My hobbies are singing worship songs, travelling, reading books and making friends. During my part time, i would like to advance my education when i raise school fees. From the profit from my business, 50% goes to the family up-bring and other for business expansion. I look forward to have a stable business that can keep my family, educate them and open other viable projects in future.

My Business

I have venture in cereals and other farms inputs. I travel around to get varieties of cereals e.g dry maize, millet, sorghum, beans/tomatoes, Onions etc. I prefer to buying them during harvest time hence, low in prices then i stock them for a while and sell to get reasonable profit. I preferred this business because these cereals are our staple food. I sell these cereals to institutions and local markets. Example 1: 1 sack of 90kg of maize buying price 32.5 USD, i sell it at 40.6 USD. 1 crate for tomatoes costs 29.5 USD, i sell it at 35.3USD making profit of 5.8 USDThe challenge in this business is where to stock for you need a store/warehouse. But because of high cost involved, i do it in the house looking forward to construct my on structure.

Loan Proposal

When i get this loan, it will help me to expand my business. I will buy more 2 crates of tomatoes at 29.5 USD. Through this i will realise a profit of about 5.8 USD. Together with the little capital i have, it will expand my business. Though my business requires more capital, am positive that i will graduate in loan size Zidisha is offering until i achieve my goal.
I get more orders from learning institutions for the dry cereals which challenges my capacity to deliver. I believe through this loan, one day i will be able to handle any order that will come because i will be having enough capital to supply. As for now when such orders are due i incorporate other business minded friends in-order not to loose the market.
My long time goals are when i will to construct my own structure where i can store the goods and supply them when the market is ready. I want to be a responsible father of my family and that's why am motivated to make ends meet.

My business collapsed and I changed another business after sometimes of waiting. I have seen a steady income and would like to clear the balance by paying Ksh 500 per week.

My new business went low due to festive Christmas season. The business i ventured in i entirely depend on People living around and its environs. People traveled to upcountry affecting my business production. This was after the the theft incident i explain earlier, where the store was broken in and my goods were stolen. But as soon as the business picks up i will adjust the repayment amount upwards. I really thank Zidisha for this initiative and promise to continue with the program.

    Thanks for your patient.

The reason for rescheduling my repayment is because of theft cases in my business. This has affected my business and almost brought as a starter. Am optimistic i will rise again and increase my repayment amount. Sorry for delaying this information because i didn't knew the option for adjusting loan mount becomes active when you makes the 1st payment. Thanks

I thank Zidisha community for the noble initiative they are doing to improve the lives of many. The business is improving day by day though challenge of enough capital for competition in the market. Thank you Zidisha.
