About Me

Im a kenyan of age 35 years.I attended Wagai primary school thereafter i went to Sawagongo High School. Was not able to attend any college due to financial constraints. We were orphaned at a tender age therefore i had to stand against all the odds to ensure that i provided for my siblings.
Its during the en devours to feed my family that i started keeping local poultry for our sustainability. However this was also short term as the business was not forthcoming. In my small project of poultry keeping i was able to attend a workshop we were trained on various aspects of farming.From there i decided to venture into tree planting and improved local poultry keeping that i do to date.
My culture is mainly characterized with fish farming as the major economic activity sidelining the other aspects of economic activities.
I'm married with two children and my entire family depends on me me as the sole provider. my Elder son wants to be Doctor.
My hobby is playing football of which i happened to be our school captain in high school.

My Business

As indicated earlier, i keep improved local poultry as my major source of income. Though ive also ventured in tree planting nursery. Tree planting as an agribusiness is quite good because first it encourages our people have forests within their ecosystem. Many trees around our areas have been destroyed hence endangering both human and animal species. Trees also have various uses in our region e.gand building and construction,beautification e.t.c
Majorly my reason towards the start of this business is my love for nature and two the rising demands for construction materials that has been on rise in my region.
Typically my costs goes up to 5000/= in a month and i get a revenue of about 15000/=
I use the profits to pay schools fees for my child, reinvest and also to pay my bills an family upkeep.

Loan Proposal

I plan to purchase water pump for my tree nursery for my farm. A pump costs 57dollars. Therefore i will have to add up a little money to enable me do so.With the pump, i will save on cost of labor used while watering he seedlings. Secondly i will be able to save on time as i will be able to irrigate a larger area within a short time.
Initiallly some of my seedlings ended up drying with adverse weather effects. With the water pump i will pump water from my dug borehole to sustain all the seedling even in the dry season.
During dry season people tend to shun from the business because of lack of supplies. Therefore the pump shall enable to continue with my business all through the seasons.
Generally my profit will increase by over 5o% due to the constant supply of seedlings and reduced labour cost.
