My names are Razia Jepchirchir Yusuf. I live in Baringo County, Perkerra. I come from a family of 8 children. I am the 3rd born in our family. I am a Christian with Redeem Gospel church. I went to Kapsabet Girls high school and now am working in my farm as a farmer with my husband. I attended Bukura training institute has an horticultural and later went to Naivasha has a veterinary officer. This has helped me to have an idea of farming. But due to less resources of finances I was not able to grow from little I have where i stay people think that farming is meant for old and or retired ones and you can't get money for the whole farmily but for me it has realy help me feed and take my children in school.
My Business
Being a farmer, I have been involved in this field activities for 4 years now and am planting food like onions, tomatoes and vegetables. In my area, many families and schools need this items and they are using them a a lot for consumer purposes. I preferred this kind of business because of the high demand on the ground and the community around me, the surrounding market. It is also my likeness and passion to plant and sell for money so my family can have something to put on the table and to take them to school.
Loan Proposal
I will use the money and some from my savings to buy a water pipe at ksh 2,500, insecticide at ksh. 2000, a water pump costing ksh. 20,000 and tow bags of D.A.P. at ksh 3000
By this I'll help the community in ready supply of fresh vegetables, reliable and at a ready market without much hustle.
I expect my profit to increase by around 20% this period. Thanks my Zidisha community.
