I grew up Nairobi and schooled in Meru for my O levels,i have a diploma in Human Resource Management and a certificate in Hair dressing. I prefer being my own boss that is what motivated me to open my own salon.First i started selling beauty products. But customers were always asking me which is the best salon they can visit and i one day said no i should add a salon to my small beauty shop and benefit from this customers who want salon services.
I now operate my own small saloon, but due to high demand by female customers I have now settled down with a nice saloon at Civil Servant Nairobi
My dream is to open up a huge saloon and even later open up a school of Hair dressing where I can teach women how to make the unique hair styles that I do.
I discovered my talent in plaiting hair and hence that motivated me to have a desire to open up my own business, which is now flourishing.
Business has been flourishing because l had stock in my Saloon for about us$ 400 and therefore my customers were able to receive all the good services they needed effectively. And because of that l have been getting more customers every so often. The increase of customers has caused me to get good income of say us $ 350 per month, and eventually l have been able to open up another bigger Saloon so as to accommodate the increased number of Customers.l have also been able to employ one lady to help me in my saloon.
