I am Millicent Wesonga , I am the second born in a family of six children. I went to Lurambi Primary school and Bisho Okoth secondary school. I completed my studies in 2013 ,but did not have money to advance my education.
I joined Ushirika Youth group where I learnt a lot about vegetable farming from other established members and my peers. I did not have capital to start farming and so I took a loan from the group of $50 that I used to clear and till our family land which I use as my farm. I plant kale's ,capsicum and cabbages and sell them to earn a leaving and save for my college fees.
I am dancer and during my free time I join my friends to dance for the church .
I grow vegetables in my 1 acre farm and sell the vegetables to schools ,and individuals. the business is good since the vegetables demand is high, because of dence population and scarcity of the green fresh vegetables.
I choose farming business because it required less start up capital and has high profits margins .
in a month I spend $80 for buying seeds, labour, and transport. My monthly revenues are $200 per month. I spend my profits through saving for business expansion and saving for fees and helping my family.
Hello lenders.
I am a small scale farmer and I grow tomatoes and capsicum. I usually measure my produce in tins and have realized I make huge losses through lost kilograms, I am pleased to ask for a loan to buy a weighing scale that I would use to way my products before sell. A good weigh scale will cost $100 and I would use the money from the loan to purchase one .Thank you dear lenders in advance.
