I am Gideon Mudenyo, a dedicated man who believe in the impossibilities. I know for a reason God created us with diverse gifts to benefit one another and if well utilised we can make our world a small heaven.
I work with the Grace Point Ministries based in Eldoret Kenya, on your way to Kimumu. Our main work involves partnering with the communities in training young ones on the skills which will enable them create income and employment for themselves and improve lives in our communities.
As a father am deeply moved by the future of our children and the entire generation over the perennial famine that our nation goes through every year due to unemployment and over relying on poor farming. As a strong believer in change and making lives better, I am commit myself to help in solving the problem.
Since we are experiencing much population influx in the Eldoret town as more young once move in towns in search of the greener pastures of which they are not guaranteed, after missing they turn into drugs, prostitutions, criminal activities and make our lives even much harder.
Through our small business we are able to help this young men train the skills and be a blessing to the community.
Apart from the welding and other building materials and skills that we do to raise young men, we are also adding the tailoring school. This will help create stable income and employment for our young generation that is quickly loosing hope.
Our major target has been training in welding & fabrication, but we felt the most females have been left out as not so many come in, but with the addition of Tailoring, we are going to reach all the groups and save our generation.
Manufacturing clothes through this school will spell a new beginning to the community living around Eldoret. Since all people have to put on clothes, this provides an opportunity for the big population in Eldoret.
We want to buy materials to make still windows and doors. The money will buy the steel Plates that will make the still doors, and pay the workers for building this door. At the same time they will be providing the training to the students who will later make their own and create employment for themselves. This will solve the problem with unemployment in the country and reduce the crime rate by a bigger margin as the young men trained could raise their own income.
