About Me

My name is Chiozya Mwanza. I am a fish farmer from Mundulundulu village, Siavonga district, in the southern part of Zambia. Siavonga is home to Lake Kariba, the largest man-made lake in the world.

The farm is located on the shores of Lake Kariba and we grow Nile Tilapia in floating fish cages on the lake. We also catch Crayfish for sale to upmarket restaurants, lodges and hotels.

I am married and we are proud parents to four beautiful children.

My Business

My business is selling fresh farmed and wild fish, crabs and Crayfish to up market restaurants, lodges and hotels in the resort town of Siavonga and in the capital Lusaka.

I catch the wild fish, crabs and Crayfish from Lake Kariba and sell it fresh to customers. I have also exported fish and Crayfish to South Africa.

Loan Proposal

I plan to use the loan to buy fish from the local fishermen who fish in the waters of Lake Kariba. The fishermen bring the fish to my habour.

When I buy the fish I will deliver it to my customers in Lusaka who are in the hotel industry.

Income Source

The Ministry of Health recently announced an easing of restrictions for the hotel industry and so my clients are able to order for their favorite fish from our business establishment. Business is great!
