About Me

i am married with one child. i live in bahati centre in plot known as mwireri building just 200m from Nakuru north D.C office. have been in business since 2002 trading in mandazi and cake bakery, my bakery is known as maries bakery. i supply both public and private primary and secondary schools within the locality. i make net profit of 1000 daily.

My Business

there is high demand of cakes in this area because the population is large and there are only three bakeries around. the big challenge my business is facing is that i only have two small ovens, and lack adequate means of transport. if zidisha loans me 100000, i will buy additional big oven and look for more bicycles to use for transport. i will also hire more staff to help me meet demands of my clients.

Loan Proposal

will buy second hand motorbike kshs.40,000 to use for transporting cakes add wheat flour stock kshs. 30,000 and kshs.10000 keep for emergency.

Dear Simon, I was wondering if you might be able to send an update on how things are going with your business, as we have not heard from you in a while. Hope all is very well and that 2014 is a wonderful year for you and the cake business!

Dear lenders, First I wish to thank dear lenders for their financial support that has enable me go this far even though the business is not doing so good, i still promise my commitments to ensure that i remit my monthly installments.

Secondly I wish to apologize umpteenth for my long silence despite your continuous sms reminders of my monthly remittance, this is because i was away and couldn't have access to internet.

Thirdly I'm writing to inform my lenders that the business is currently down and I'm not going to make payments for the next two months, but should the business picks up before then Nov 08, 2013 I will clear all the accrued arrears.

Otherwise I apologize in advance for any inconvenience to your organization.

    yours faithfully

    Simon Kabiro

Hello, I'm a virtual volunteer who has the opportunity to respond to queries and other messages from our borrowers in Kenya. I thought I should assure lenders that we are maintaining contact with Mr. Kabiro through community mentors, and continue to work towards full repayment of his loan. Thank-you.

To zidisha organization: following the recent road accident i got while transporting my cakes for sales in Solai market, i have not been in a position to pay July instalment but hope to be back to business soon and restart payment by 29th August.

It has been hard but i hope you will be in a position to understand my situation and once more bear with me.

my motor cycle was not badly damage and i too hard small injuries, i went to the hospital and got discharged the same day. What disrupted my business is the case at the police station.but i hope once its over i will be to business as usual.

thanks in advance for your kind treatment.

    bye

The loan i received from zidisha team helped me to purchase a new motorbike to help me transport my cakes to my customers, but its unfortunate i got a road accident a week ago, was hospitalize for two days and discharged. the motorbike is still under police custody and im still indoor nursing my injuries. I'm therefore pleading to have my loan reschedule for atleast two weeks to enable me recover and resume to my business. thanks in advance for understanding
