About Me

I am Veronica katongo. I was born on 12th August 2000 and am from Kitwe. I am a young emerging farmer and against all odds am making it in farming.The challenge I have gone through is society failure to accept that as a young lady i can make it in Agriculure, But the Lord has been giving me strength everyday to be successfull.

My Business

After I completed my secondary education 3 years ago I did a 1 year course in Social Work at the community and development college. I enjoy serving the needy in rural areas of my country. And in one community where I was serving I found a good family that offered me a small piece of land for free after they noticed I was so much interested in farming. So for 2 years I have been there trying a number of plants and there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Loan Proposal

What I want to do with the money is to buy wooden crates for packing tomatoes. I have planted tomatoe, green paper and carrots. I will use this money specifically for buying wooden crates so that when I harvest the tomatoe am able to pack it nicely for sale at the market. The profit I will make I reinvest in my business, I want to keep improving every time I harvest either green paper , tomatoe or carrots.

Income Source

I have a job working as a Social Worker in a girl child project under SOS - Save Our Souls and the allowances from there I can manage to pay back the money.
