About Me

My names are Martin Kioko and am thirty two years old and Hold a Diploma in Computer Electronics Engineering alongside other qualification. While i was doing my Higher education studies, i dreamed being an entrepreneur and from that moment i started actualizing my dream. Since i was undertaking a technical subject on repairs of computer and other electronics components, i started repairing laptops and desktop computer for my fellow students. i continued and extended my services to SMES in the city of Nairobi.

My Business

After finishing my studies, i started a workshop for repairing computer and run it for a year and i decide to expand the entrepreneurship idea to create employment for other people, hence i began a small training institute in the year 2010 with five computers and managed to convince five students.
I cultivated the revenues i collected from the school fees and continued to expand the concept and after two years, i managed to create three job opportunities. Now my Institution has expanded and have introduces other courses alongside IT studies.
I would like to set up an extra computer laboratory for i have an increment in student’s population and i was looking for some one to lend me when i came across my business friend Peter Omolo who introduced me to Zidisha Online Lending programme. Have some cash for the setup but i lack Kshs. 15,000 and that is why i am seeking assistance from Zidisha. I will appreciate your support financial and will really commit myself to repay as per the agreement.

Here is a break down income and expense statement for my business
Gross Monthly income =Ksh. 140,000.00
Total expenses = Kshs. 80,000.00
Net profit = Ksh. 60,000.00

On weekly basis i can comfortably repay Ksh. 3,000.00

LOAN TO EXPAND DETERGENT BUSINESS ( INCREASING BUSINESS STOCK)
My names are Martin Kioko, a diploma holder in computer science and Electronic Engineering. Over the last seven years, have been running an institution (Marxtech Training Insitute) that offers ICT courses.
Recently I have began a new business venture of processing and selling detergents and industrial chemicals. It is an idea that i have done a research on and found it viable and sustainable considering the wide applications of detergents. Some of the products that i process include, liquid Hand-wash, Multi purpose soap, Disinfectant, antiseptic, Engine De-greaser & bar soap. Most of these products have a wide market target from domestic to commercial. Why i have chosen to do this business alongside the one for college is that college business is seasonal and many a times we usually have a high season during the first half of the year but the other half, college business is low and thus i considered a supplement.

ABOUT THE DETERGENT BUSINESS
I purchase in wholesale industrial chemicals and other raw materials for detergents that I repack and sell in small quantities. Also I use the same raw materials for processing detergents like multipurpose liquid soap, bar soap, Hand-wash, antiseptic, bleach, degreaser among other beauty products. My customers include among others, Carwash and garages, Homes, Schools, Hospitals, Salons.

FUTURE PROJECTIONS
I began this business with a capital of $. 476.00 and have operated it for a period of four months, within this period, I have managed to register and have some of the products I process approved by the Kenya Bureau of standards. From my perspective, this is a concept that has a very high potential and rapid growth considering the multiple applications of detergents and beauty products.

CORE OBJECTIVE
I target to employ ten staff members upon the expansion of my factory. When funded, I will increase the running inventory and production rate as I have already established a clientele for the raw materials as well as the finished processed products.
