About Me

I was born and brought up in the rural areas on big Tree settlement scheme where life was so hard. I faced a lot of difficulties while growing up. Life was so hard and unbearable. During out time, I lived in a time when girl child education was not supported. You can imagine I did my form four through struggles and I dint manage to get to go to college. That is when I got married and I now have a family. I work so hard to ensure that my family does not go through what I went through while growing up.

My Business

I run a daycare type of business in Kawangware 56 where working mothers will bring in their young children who does not go to school. In the daycare, I have employed like 3 people and myself who helps me in the day to day running of the children
In the daycare, we provide tea for break, lunch. The daycare run from 7 am in the morning to 5:30 pm in the evening when their parents come and picks them.
We help children start knowing how to read and write. The service is therefore useful because we help women take care of their children while they are doing other productive activity. I mean many of them are working as we look after their children.
I chose this kind of business because there was a void to be filled. Most women were not able to go to work because they could not trust their house-helps with their kids. Cases of children being stolen were on the rise in these places.
Setting up the entire business was costly but running it is a bit manageable because we get help from parents in terms of they help provide food for the children. I used like 50000 to set it up but day to day running will go from 500-1500 a day. I make an income of about 15000 every month after deducting my monthly expenditure. I use thee income in expanding the facility and I am planning to start a baby class.

Loan Proposal

If given a loan, I am going to use the loan in buying reading chats for the kids in the daycare.
Drawing papers 600
Pencils 300
Charts 1000
Coloured pencils 600
baby class story books 2000
The project will help me get more kids to take care of. I really enjoy time with young kids now my own are grown ups. At the same time, the improved services in the daycare will make many parents bring in more kids thus a rise in revenue which will make us expand rapidly. The projects helps kids to learn. Thank you in advance.
