Having completed my university education recently I have found it somehow difficult to get a white collar job hence the need to start a small business as well farming. Zidisha loan will help me a great deal to get capital for this initiative. Am fortunate to have a supportive family and they are willing to help me every step of the way in achieving my dreams of financial independence and stability. Agriculture is the main economic activity in my area. This is due to several factors ranging from favorable weather conditions to readily available markets. other factors include good soil, availability of water etc.
Am a tea farmer. I have one acre land under tea bushes. I sell tea leaves to James Finlay Company. The company deals mainly with tea processing n packaging. They pay me on a monthly basis. My monthly payments range from Ksh 7,000 to Ksh 12,000 depending on the international market price. They keep fluctuating due to,among other issues, political upheavals, Financial crisis etc. Like any other venture, I do have challenges, for example, long droughts, frost attack etc. Due to this unforeseen n unpredictable circumstances I have felt the need to diversify my investments to include small businesses like M-pesa, n printing services to supplement payments I get from farming.
Zidisha loan will help me supplement my capital in order to start an M-pesa business as an agent. The rest of the money will be used to buy printing, scanning and photocopying devices as well as computers and their accessories since I want to start a cyber. The benefit it will create will include employment, since I wouldn't b able to operate both businesses hence the need to employ people to help me, generate income, make profits etc.
