Hi Laurie, Hope all is well. You are absolutely correct, Baraka is Blessing in Swahili. Unlike English where pluralisation of words is achieved via suffixes like 's', we pluralize words using prefixes such as 'ma', 'vi' and so on. Though Baraka doesn't have a plural form... It is both singular and plural! As other words in its category. Pluralisation of words is dependent on the category or 'ngeli' which the word is. An example is Kiatu(shoe) which is in the KI-VI category, hence, we pluralize it by replacing the (Ki)atu prefix with (Vi)atu in plural. Or Gari (Car)--(LI-YA) category--we say (Ma)gari. Thank you very much my dear lenders and the zidisha team. I was really worried about something in my workshop but thanks to you my 2017 seems to start nicely and really hoping that these blessings flow throughout the year. This loan amount will have a very big impact on my business as a whole, first is a upgrade to my workshop thus increasing working space by adding some extra working tables ant try increasing services renders by at least two persons, but for now I won't be able to do the marketing as planned but holds high hopes that things will work out for that part too. To all my lenders, thank you so much again for trusting and believing in me. Thanks for your money lent to me. I will use the money to increase my stock for cooking oil, wheat flour and maize flour at my retail shop. This will see my income grow by 50% because of the savings I will have made as earlier indicated. Thank you so so much and may God bless you.

I am adding the sales of local manufactured shoes and sandals. I have talked to the leading producers of shoes and sandals for them to supply me some of their products for retail. I have today received the first supply of 15 pair of shoes and 25 pair of sandals. zidisha is my secret. My lenders are my inspiration.comment image

Happy new year my lenders, I would like to inform you that i received cash ksh 31,217. I have bought the fabrics i needed for clients orders, bridesmaids clothes and and African print cushion covers. The 2 clients will pay me on delivery and will make a profit of ksh 5, 800 . I will deposit ksh 4,800 on my Business savings ,donate ksh 1, 000 to The Gifted Heart Generation which organises activities for children homes here. I love giving back to community. Hallo Zidisha family and lenders wherever you are in the world. I wish to take this opportunity to wish all of you a Happy New Year 2017 and that it has been great been with you in 2016. It is my hope that we will continue being together as our Zidisha family keeps expanding. To all lenders, you are the engine that drives Zidisha and I take special consideration to you all for your generous loan that you have continued to entrust to us. Without you, most of our children could not be going to school or having a roof over their heads. To my fellow borrowers, please let us be responsible in our loan repayment, timely and incase of problems, let us share so that the lenders will know instead of defaulting and hiding. This is to ensure that other deserving people get the opportunity we also got and to make Zidisha self reliant.
