I also managed to purchase the metallic molding cylinder for calbats which is now a boom in the market due to on going road construction in my area by the country government.

The previous loan enabled me to purchase a laminating machine for my computer shop and added stock of printing paper in it too. With the stock and the machine I have been able to repay theloan and safely reinvest my proceeds in the business. My profits have grown tremendously. Yeah thats very true! the customers switching from kerosene and candle use once they make the solar lamp purchase they have free lighting! In my country we have what we call load shedding where we do not have electricity 24/7 even though we are connected to the grid. Personally i use much solar lamps than electricity which is connected to the grid.

Lately the government has been encouraging all people in Zambia to use solar energy because of the challenges our electricity supply company has been facing lately.

And just to inform you, the house am building will be powered 100% by solar energy! I should be ready to move in next year June! So every single day am working on moving from grid electricity to clean energy lighting and i hope once i achieve that 100% for my new house then i will join my customers and leap frog too to a world were solar energy is what will light my house!

First and foremost i wish to say a big thank you for the loan that i have finished to pay. It helped me relocate the school.; and as I had suggested it brought in more students and hence more income, actually more income than i had anticipated.

Right now am struggling to accommodate the students that i have. Am averaging about 5 new extra students per month and this has really helped me sort out bills and my hand man, a guy am working with to teach the extra students.
Am at the moment working on getting extra instruments, another keyboard and a guitar. This is the reason am applying for a new loan.

I purchased belts,vests and toys with the loan. It has increase the number of my customers. My profit has increase by 300 KES a day. I use the increment to pay my brothers school fees and increasing stork. I'm planning to build a permanent structure fo my business and buying learning materials for my children.most of holidays we go to Mombasa city island to swim and enjoy ourselves

To answer your question, a BIG YES! the five customers are very very happy with switching from the use of Kerosene to have access to genuine solar lamps that are not only affordable but warranted for 1 year!

The customers who have bought and are using the lamps in their communities have become our marketers and are referring friends and relatives to come and buy also. We have about 85% of the inquires about our solar lamps from people who are connected to the ones who have bought from us! The fact the we are offering a product that saves families more money than anything else, the demand is very high and more and more orders reach our office everyday!

The challenge we are facing currently is on the stock availability since we depend on the wholesalers to supply us the products.

Going forward my goal is to increase my stock in the next loan application so that i reach 1000 customers by next year February.

Many families are coming to my shop because they have seen the benefit of the solar lamps from the customers who have bought from me!

The other benefit of this solar lamps is that customers now can charge their mobile phones while at home saving them so much more on charging costs!
