About Me

My name is Damson Barasa. I was born to Mr. John Barasa and the late Sarah Baraza,who I never got a chance to see,I am told she passed on while giving birth to me,may she rest in piece. I am the last born in a family of 6. I schooled upto O-level at Mundika Boys secondary school.
I started keeping rabbits while in secondary school to cater for my expenses,because my parents dad could not afford my school fees. I kept rabbits in small scale and could sell them to buy books and pens incase dad had no money . After secondary school ,a friend lend me $30 that i used to build a bigger house and expand my business. The business has slowly expanded and i currently have 34 rabbits though my aim is 300 rabbits.
I come from luhya community,our culture include traditional dancing and singing.
I am a soccer player and during my free time i join my friends to play.I also dedicate some time to visit those with various problems orphans,sick and old just to talk and motivate them.

My Business

I am a rabbit keeper,currently I have 34 rabbits. I generate revenues through sell of rabbits ,manure and urine.
Most rabbits waste provide very good manure and I use it in my small vegetable farm and also sell to organic farmers . The rabbit meat is preferred by most people who dont like red meat and the demand has steadily risen over the years.
I choose this business because i had experience in rabbit keeping and had ready market for the them.
I spend 50 dollers on average and get 200 dollers in a good month from the sales. I use my profits to pay fees for niece,save to reinvest and support our family general upkeep.

Loan Proposal

Honorable lenders, I hope you are fine. I take this opportunity to submit my request for a loan to buy 40 more rabbits. I have struggled and constructed a new rabbitry unit which has not been under utilized since December 2014 when it was completed because i ran short of cash, $100 loan will be a big boost to my farm.     I take this opportunity to thank you lenders for the good work your are doing.Personally the loan has been of great benefit and has really helped me improve my farm. The young rabbits come and they have really grown pretty fast. I sold 50 rabbits last week and earned $550. I am really grateful
