About Me

I am Chistine Wanjiru Yusuf, born in Thika near Nairobi in a family of three – all girls. I come from a poor background and I grew up without any luxuries. I went to school up to secondary school but I could not further my education due to lack of funds.

Due to serious poverty at home, I decided to move very far from home to Mombasa which is more than 500 kilometers away. With about $2, (yes 2$) I bought sweets and balloons that I started hawking on the streets of Mombasa. I was lucky to get accommodated at church where I stayed for 2 months and then rented a small house.

I did hawking business amid harassment from the local government and finally saved enough money through merry-go-rounds and other initiatives and opened a phone accessories shop. I also enrolled for a part-time computer course to bring myself up to date with ICT.

My Business

I buy and sell mobile phone accessories in my small outlet in Mombasa town. I deal with items like phone batteries, earphones, covers etc. The items are quite popular with the masses especially with the youngsters. The country is experiencing a mobile phone explosion and I wanted to get a share of the pie and that is the main reason I ventured into this business.

The competition is very stiff but I am glad I have kept going due to hard work and the network of loyal clients that I have build over the years. My net income is about $125 a week which I use to pay my bills and support my family back home. My next move is to start selling mobile phones next year.

Loan Proposal

In intend to put all the money I am going to get from this loan into my business where I will buy accessories to boost my stock. I will stock a wide variety of accessories so that my clients can buy all their items under one roof.

This will help me to get to my destination of getting into sale mobile phones business where I am likely to make much more profit than what I am making.

Christine says that she will clear her loan this month. She has been experiencing low sales in her shop hence the delayed payments.

    Lenders,
Looking on the balance remaining, it gives me a feeling that Christine really wanted to complete repaying her loan. I wonder what happened because I'm yet to reach her plus the refferees but will keep on trying till I find one. Thanks

    Dear Lenders,

Christine started on a high note only to fade away due to some issues in business. She promises to bounce back as soon as things get better. My prayer that all works out perfectly.

Thank you lenders for your support. I have used the previous loans to expand my business. Unfortunately my credit limit went down and I have been hoping that this would be rectified but it has taken too long. I am now ready to start all over again and build my account accordingly.

Dear lenders, I have been experiencing a dip in sales and this has affected my cash flow. I kindly ask for your understanding as I reduce my weekly installment to KES 500 per week for now. I hope to bounce back to a bigger installment soon.

Thank you zidisha lenders for giving me a loan that enabled me to expand my business. I used the money to buy an assortment of mobile phone accessories and this increased my sales drastically. I even started selling mobile phones which had been my dream for a long time.

I am currently doing booming business and I am now capable of repaying higher amounts. Through the loan you gave me, I managed to stock fast moving goods and this has given rise to high volume sales.

I am sure the momentum will continue in the coming months. Thanks you much for giving my business the much needed boost.
