About Me

My name is Cecilia Wangui - born in Central Kenya and later relocated to Mombasa city. I am the first born in a family of three siblings. My parents are small scale business people back home.

I went to primary and secondary school and later joined a college where I did a certificate course in business management. However, I did not secure a job and that is when I decided to start my own business selling wall hangings.

I am married with 2 kids. My husband is also a small scale business man who hawks hardware materials. I am a woman full of desire to succeed and I believe in hard work and being focused in life.

My Business

I started my second hand clothes business eight years ago. Later on, I decided to branch off to selling educational posters and school text books. This has proved to be a wise decision and I have since discarded selling of wall hangings to devote my energy and resources into this new venture.

My take home from this business currently ranges from USD 280 - USD 350 but I am hoping to improve on this figure once I boost my stock with credit from Zidisha. Ultimately, I would like to expand and supply on wholesale basis where customers will have a variety of products.

Project Proposal

In the past few months, I have been needing to relocate from the premise am currently in and move to some other premise strategically located for easy reach to my customers. I have found someplace and the loan in question will go fund the moving process and any other costs associated with relocation.
