About Me

Foster Biney is my name. I was born into a very poor family of 11 ( 2 maternal and 9 paternal). My father married 3 wives so he made up his mind that none of us would go to school because of poverty.
My father is a poor peasant farmer and mother, a petty trader. Even though we farm, the produce were not enough and yet we do barter trading with the little we had to enable us survive.
I loved education so much but there's no guardian so what I did was that, to be able to read and write, I pleaded with one of my neighbors who was a teacher in one of the schools to teach me how to read and write because I did not have the financial muscle for it.
Having considered how zealous I was and my family background, he contented to it and so he taught me every evening for 6 years before he was transferred out. This how come although I didn't go to school, I can read and write at my level. May God bless him wherever he is.

My Business

Because there's no other occupation for me apart from farming, I cherish it so much because, it's the only was I can survive.
I cultivate the following crops or produce; cabbage, carrot and cucumber on a small scale.
Unfortunately, there's less market for my produce in the north so about 80% of my crops go bad every year.
However, my inviter, Foster Amuzu Korto got market for my produce in Accra but my would be clients said they are ready to buy any quantity if only I can bring to them in Accra.
The problem now is the transportation charges and carriages and also to buy a water spraying machine for my crops during the dry season.

Loan Proposal

I wish to sincerely thank my lenders and the entire Zidisha team for having supported my business with a loan I took about four months ago. May God richly bless you all.

However, I lose a lot of money during the dry season because, I do not have a water pumping machine to irrigate the crops. This has been affecting my livelihood over the years. Moreover, I have gotten one that they selling at USD212.32 (GH¢1,000.00). Having fully repaid my first loan, I wish to humbly raise a second loan of USD26.60 (GHS 123.00) to enable me make part-payment for the water pumping machine so I can stay in business all season.

I hope my humbly request would meet you kind consideration and prompt approval.

Thank you.

Mr. Biney had a little family problem which had drained him financially. He however promised to settle his outstanding loan before the month ends.
    Thanks for your patience.

Some of my debtors came and settled their debts. As a result of this, I thought it wise to also put a smile of my lenders' faces by paying off my loan.
    Thank you.

After sending the goods to my clients in Accra, they said sales has gone down so they could not pay me except transportation back home. This has made me incapable to maintain my loan repayment amount at GH¢10.00.
Being sorry for any inconvenience, I humbly wish to do a downward review of my Loan settlement amount until the market responds positively.
    Thank you
