About Me

Right from my childhood, life has been very challenging but through hard work and determination I have always overcome many hurdles. I grew up with my parents in the northern region of Ghana, specifically Tamale. Growing up I realized that my family was below average in terms of financial standing, which means that together with my siblings we had to assist our father on the farm, and my mother in her petty trading business in order to make ends meet. This helped me cultivate the habit of savings. I made sure I kept at least a fraction of any monetary gift I received from my parents, loved ones or even just pals. Day-in day-out I became more interested in saving to help me meet some of my basic necessities as a young girl without haven to depend on my parents for almost everything.
I was a quite good student academically throughout my period in school. I attended the evangelical Presbyterian primary school, and later proceeded to Nyohini presby school. I had my secondary school education at the business senior high school in Tamale, and I went on to Tamale Polytechnic, where I graduated successful with an HND in marketing. I have an uncle called John who owned a shop where he sells electronic devices such as DVD, Music CD, Movies, Television and other devices. The business kept booming, he kept maximizing profit on monthly basis. One day, my uncle phoned me about his decision to sell the business because he invested his profits into different venture that turned out unsuccessful. I protested his decision and took over the affairs of the business. I quickly invested my savings into the business and used my marketing skills to maximize sales. The business has been going on well with profit levels appreciating steadily. I believe zidisha is a good opportunity for me to expand my business and offer jobs to some young people.

My Business

I would say my business deals with goods closely associated with the entertainment sector. I retail electronic goods ranging from DVDS, CD ROM, mobile phones and accessories and similar household items such as fan and television sets. I find this business highly sustainable because as we can attest to the fact of how entertainment has become an indispensable part of human life. Honestly it is uncommon not to find these items in almost every household. A greater proportion of the people we meet daily uses at least one or more of these electronic products which goes to confirm how profitable it can be if well managed.
This is a business I took over from my uncle after he decided to transfer ownership, and I am determined to grow it into a highly profitable venture where I would be able to employ young people.
The main cost in the business includes electricity bills, cost of acquiring new stock, and cost of damages resulting from faulty appliances or breakages. So far, the business is doing well and profit levels keeping soaring up. For the next few years, I plan to expand the business by acquiring new stocks frequently, marketing my goods well and opening new branches in other places. This means a greater part of the profit made would be ploughed back into the business. I therefore need a flexible credit system where I can raise additional capital to finance my business. I see Zidisha.org as a great scheme which can assist me as an entrepreneur to grow my business to the next level.

Loan Proposal

I will purchase these items with my first loans;
Mobile phone batteries ($26)
Mobile phone chargers ($21)
Ear piece($13)
Screen protector($12)
I have currently run out of stock on these items and I wish to purchase them as soon as I received my loan. This will boost sales. I expect to gain about 20% profit after sales.

Hello wonderful people of zidisha, please I have a problem which I don't understand and the problem is that, I received a message from zidisha this morning that my on time payment which was due on the 4th October hasn't been received but i received the reminder massage as usual on the 3rd of October which I did the payment the next day. Then again I received a call from one of my invitee's by name Ibrahim salamatu with the same complaints. So I wish if my honorable people of zidisha could give me a clear explanation, but then both of us has confirmed that, the number was correct. Thank you.

You should know that this space is meant for communication between lenders and borrowers. While lenders are concerned about your difficulties, we do not have the access to help very much. I suggest you send an email to Zidisha at [email protected].

Having said that, it is my expectation, that because the repayment rate is calculated on the date the funds are received by the bank, not the date that it is processed by Zidisha that delays would not affect the borrowers adversely. (I have asked for confirmation of this in a recent email.) Even so, it still remains an issue for those concerned, because they/we want to identify the errors so they can be corrected in a timely manner.
We are concerned, and we are working to improve it.

I will like to use this platform to thank the wonderful lenders of zidisha for positive works they are doing in the lives of entrepreneurs especially in my business and my life as a whole. Please after my first loan I put in an application for my second loan which was founded by 1percent and it got expired, so I applied again the second time and it's currently left with four days without any percentage founded. I humbly appeal to my lenders to kindly come to aid as my business is seriously in need of funds to buy new stock such as tv sets, mobile phones n accessories that are latest in the market and can attract the attention of customers. I promise to abide by the rules and regulations of zidisha.org as I did the first time. Thanks to zidisha. Org.

My first loan came at the right time when I needed to refurbish my shop with the latest stock on the market. To successfully maintain and improve upon your customer base in the entertainment industry, you need to keep stock of items that meets the current taste of customers. I purchased new gadgets such as tv sets, mobile phone and accessories that were latest on the market with my loan and this has boost my sales rate and profit margin. Thanks to zidisha. org!

God bless you for your zeal never to give up. Please modify your picture and lenders would be attracted to fund your loan. It is better to take a photo of yourself at your business site as in your previous loan application. All the best.

Business in music is sometimes so interesting and funny, day -in -day out I do play nice music in my shop as a marketing strategy to catch the attention of potential customers and the interesting story that has been happening most times is, "a mad person "never passes without dancing but today, it was just beyond my imagination, one mad man danced in front of my shop closely to two hours which attracted the attention of many people to watch him dance and to my surprised his "dance " yielded to more purchase of my products today and this has really made my day, I wish things could go this way for me every day for my business to keep booming ....In fact I'm so happy about my today's sales.
