About Me

My full name is Joyce Wanjiku. I am married and I have one son. I am a Kenyan citizen born in Nyeri district. I went to school in Mukuruweni division and did my primary exam in 1986. I joined form 1 at Nakuru High and finished in 1990. I later joined Mombasa Pwani Commercial College in 1990 -1991. I worked as a tailor for 5 years in employment, and now I run my own business. Since 2012, I have been in the tailoring business so I am known in Mtwapa for that business.

My Business

Apart from tailoring, farming vegetables, and rearing chicken & quails, my husband is a pastor and I make clothes from cotton kitenge [East African fabric] and sell to women who love African kitenge. My kitenge products are of international standards. In a good month I can sell clothes worth $100. Personally I make clothes that rock the market, especially during weddings and other functions.

Currently we don’t do embroidery because the machine we had failed, so I am looking for resources to buy a new or a refurbished embroidery machine.

Loan Proposal

Once more I thank you my lenders for the first loan which helped me get a refurbished embroidery machine.
Due to the rising demand for Kitenge clothes I intend to increase the stock of new kitenge material to increase the production level to cater for the market demand. I intend to buy a new stock of 12 new kitenge pieces which will cost me Kes 14920 and coloured thread costing Kes 3200/ This will raise the levek of the stock available for production.
On selling the expected production out of this stock I am expecting to make Kes 24000, creating a gross profit of Kes 4000 which I shall plough into the business to improve the production further and also help in the repayment of this loan.
As a measure to give back to the society I intend to buy a wireless microphone for the church where my husband is pastoring. This unit will cost Kes 12500.
I pray you my lenders to fund this loan so that I can do all that I have planned and to help at the church. God bless you my lenders as you lend not only to me but to others also.
