About Me

My full name is Joyce Wanjiku. I am married and I have one son. I am a Kenyan citizen born in Nyeri district. I went to school in Mukuruweni division and did my primary exam in 1986. I joined form 1 at Nakuru High and finished in 1990. I later joined Mombasa Pwani Commercial College in 1990 -1991. I worked as a tailor for 5 years in employment, and now I run my own business. Since 2012, I have been in the tailoring business so I am known in Mtwapa for that business.

My Business

Apart from tailoring, farming vegetables, and rearing chicken & quails, my husband is a pastor and I make clothes from cotton kitenge [East African fabric] and sell to women who love African kitenge. My kitenge products are of international standards. In a good month I can sell clothes worth $100. Personally I make clothes that rock the market, especially during weddings and other functions.

Currently we don’t do embroidery because the machine we had failed, so I am looking for resources to buy a new or a refurbished embroidery machine.

Loan Proposal

Loan Proposal
The business is growing and I have added more material to serve my increasing number of customers. , but embroidery machine is absolutely necessary. This will give the material a perfect finish, hence make more profits which will enable me to expand my business and generate more profits. I am still much in need of this machine. So am requesting for $ 100 I include with my saving and get an embroidery machine. Kindly lenders consider me. Thanks

Thanks for the first loan that has helped me get a refurbished embroidery machine. Now I have been able to improve the quality of the clothes I am making. My desire now is to to raise the level of production by increasing the stock especially of the new Kitenge materials. This will help me move a step hiher in my effort to satisfy the high demand for the kitenge clothes.
