About Me

my name is millicent wanjiku aged 31years and i am akenyan citizen.I am married with two children.i live in Githunguri estate.i finished my high school in 1999 and joined college in 2001 up to 2003 where i pursued a certificate course in pharmacyy and dispensing.Later i was employed i a District hospital as a pharmcist for two years and also in a epz company for thee years until i was retrenched
i decided to start my own business from the savingsi had accumulated.I started selling clothes shoes, schoolbags, plastic items like buckets basins and also utencils like plates cups, spoons, coooking pans ettc/
This business has helped me purchase a small piece of land and i am still putting up my house there with the proceeds from this business.
I am able to restock my business and support my family and parents at home.

My Business

My busines is called hope shop.it is located along the tarmac near bus stage opposite wings supermarket
i deal with goods like clothes shoes, schoolbags, plastic items like buckets basins and also utencils like plates etc
people prefer my business because i sell my products at an affordable price that most low income earners can afford. The competition is relatively high because of other traders dealing in the same goods but i ensure that i m ahead of my competitors by bringing quality products every time.I already have many customers and my business is profitable.
The main challenge is lack of additional capital to help me expand further and be more competitive.
Monthly income is as below
total income per month 43,000/=
total expenses per month 30,000/=
profit per month 13,000/=

Loan Proposal

My biggest reason is boost my business on the products of both ladies shoes and men's shoes of all sizes. The ladies shoes by now. costs 3$@ in wholesale market but I purchase the items in dozens of twelve pieces .On other hand the men's shoes are a bit costly each costs 9$ as per wholesale so I prefer to purchase the items in pieces .The benefit that I create from business is that after I do my calculations i do some savings .which am looking forward to educate my son who is supposed to join his higher education by next year. So I expect my profits to increase by5$ everyday because the ladies products are fisrt moving products in the market and they are of different varieties and also at lower prices. Regards Millicent
