About Me

I am the third born in a family of five and born in Kilifi County. My childhood days were quite enjoyable in that we had ample time to play and interact with our age mates unlike today whereby technology has really overtaken some of this activities. I remember playing hide and seek in the forest, hunting and making toy cars using used cans just to mention but a few.
The idea of starting this business which is a Cereals Retail shop came as a result of scarcity of such shops in my area of residence, also getting some commodities was a bit hectic since most shops were not well stocked with various goods.
My land or rather our culture is quite unique in that we still uphold most of our traditional believes and till now some are still practiced. For instance when a woman is pregnant and the husband/wife is unfaithfully it is believed the unborn child is likely to be born with an abnormality or in some cases he/she might die after birth. In such cases a cleansing ritual is done to prevent the bad omen.
I have three children aged nine, six and three years. The first born a girl wants to be a doctor when she grows up while the second born a boy would like to be a lawyer and the last born a girl is still young to decide.
During my free time i like reading novels, playing football at the beaches as well as swimming.

My Business

My business is a retail shop which is a family business and deals with food stuffs, soft drinks, cereals, and stationery. These goods are in demand since I live in a densely populated area and more so most shops are not well stocked to provide all the goods. The reason why i choose this kind of business its because i realized most of the shops in the locality were not stocked with some commodities and most residents were forced to walk for a long distance in such of goods.
The profit i make is usually reinvested back to the business and also use it for our family upkeep including school fees and general expenses. I am also employed at Technical University of Mombasa where as the business is run by my wife.

Loan Proposal

I am planning in buying beauty products which include hair braids and weaves.
I will buy;
Hair braids (Abuja Short) 30 Pcs @ Ksh 50 = Kshs 1500 Approximately Usd 15
Hair braids (Abuja Long) 30 Pcs @ Kshs 50 = Kshs 1500 Approximately Usd 15

      I'm happy I could help. And I'm looking forward to hearing how the chicks do. If you can share a picture of the chicks when you get them, my kids would love to see that.

    I addedstock in my business by purchasing stationaries, rice, beans, green grams and cow peas which made my shop well stocked and increased my profit by 20 percent since most of these goods moves very fast. I used the increased earnings to restock my shop with new commodities and some to pay school fees for my kids. Currently am pursuing a bachelor's degree in Criminology and security management, I have managed to renovate my house as well as furnishing it and my kids are learning in a good school. During the Easter festive I took my family to swim and enjoy themselves at the coastal beach hotels in travelers beach resort, my neighborhood fully practice their cultural believes and practices whereby every Sunday we go watch live Giriama traditional dances and enjoy local prepared foods such as roasted fish and ugali since its their staple food within the Miji Kenda tribe...
