About Me

I am jacob a 32year old Kenyan living in machakos town in machakos county eastern Kenya.I was born in a family of 6,and brought up in abject poverty a factor that helped me discover my potential.I attended mekilingi primary school and managed a mean grade B+ and then proceeded to katangi secondary school where I sat for my kcse exams and managed a mean grade A-,joining Kenyatta university where I pursued a bachelors degree in business management.

Since my secondary school days,I had developed a passion for business and this interest led me to study business management.Since graduating,I started several income generating projects.I am doing beekeeping alongside crop growing.Apart from these,I run a small shop which is doing very well.my first harvest of honey was worth 600kgs which I sold and got a return of ksh.65,000.This motivated me to increase productivity and a friend told me about zidisha.
Iam applying for a zidisha loan of ksh.10000 to help me purchase more beehives .I intend to add this to my savings of ksh.50000 to purchase 3more beehives at ksh.20,000per beehive.
It is my hope that you consider my application.

My Business

I sell honey generated from my beehives to individuals and industries through intermediaries since my production is not so large.Honey is a very fast moving commodity in kenya due to its nutritional value.I chose to deal with honey beacause of it durability.The income generated goes to various needs like school fees for my brother,home improvements and stocking my shop.

Loan Proposal

I am intending to use this loan on financing some manpower to clear an extra portion of land to extend my bee farm for $80 .This will also include the planting of sunflower seeds along the surrounding areas to increase bee population and impact positively on honey production.
